Ambode: Planned primaries unfair

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos State is desperate for a second term ticket. That was the picture he presented when he finally appeared for his world press conference over one hour after the scheduled time on Sunday. First it was apparent that he was flustered. Check out the initial stammering, and the “dirty fight” as demonstrated in his accusation of Jide Sanwo-Olu who he claimed was arrested for spending fake dollars in the United States. He didn’t stop at that, he also claimed that Sanwo-Olu, the apparent anointed candidate has a record of rehabilitation at a hospital in the state.
Then, though he wore an APC T-shirt , the governor came out prepared to take on his party. Ambode accused the APC of planning to rig the primaries of which he was cleared to participate. He talked about an imported membership register and the fact that he, alongside numerous other members, will be disenfranchised. He also proved to his listeners that even he the governor and a long standing member of the party has just a temporary card!
