The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said it would “investigate the invasion with a view to exposing and sanctioning anyone found to be involved directly or indirectly in the disruption of the smooth running of its activities in Ekiti”.

According to Ologbondiyan, the National Working Committee of the party reiterates its confidence in the Chief Gboyega Oguntuase-led Ekiti State Executive Council, adding that and PDP members in the State must avoid anyone fanning embers of discord in our fold.

The PDP also called on the police “to assist in fishing out and arresting the hoodlums that invaded our secretariat as well as secure the premises against further invasion”.

Some PDP leaders in the state had on Thursday invaded the state PDP Secretariat and put the place under lock, accusing the state EXCO of alleged fraud following which the police took over the place to avoid breakdown of law and order.
