Group To Hold Russia-Africa Trade And Investment Forum in Dubai

A United Kingdom-based international business organisation, has formally announced an upcoming an international business forum aimed at bringing leading businesses and government entities from Russia and Africa to explore mutual trade and investment opportunities.
Tagged Russia-Africa Trade and Investment Forum, RAFTIF, according to the organisers, the two-day high-level business forum aims to present Africa as an investment destination for Russian businesses, whilst promoting further business collaboration between the two regions.
Working in cooperation with government and private sector organisations in Russia and Africa, reveals Irina Awote, Project Director of RAFTIF, the forum will bring together senior representatives of leading businesses and government entities from various sectors in Russia with their counterparts from Africa to explore mutual trade and investment opportunities.
The forum takes place in Dubai.
Significantly, Awote adds, the two-day forum will provide in-depth knowledge of various industry sectors for involvement including infrastructure, energy, power, mining, agribusiness, health, transport and logistics.
“It will raise awareness of the real economic opportunities, market conditions and specific counterparts in African markets for Russian businesses and at the same time inform African businesses of the capabilities of Russian partners,” the project director enthuses.
According to him, the forum is the first high-level event of its kind as it focuses solely on business and investment opportunities between the two regions, addressing technical details related to funding projects, establishing partnerships and joint venture collaborations.
It will also showcase sectors for viable investment returns, and engage the participation of senior representatives of international companies, government agencies, banking and investment community from Russia and Africa, including participation of Ministers of respective industry sectors from key African countries.
