Clandestine plot to impeach Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel was rebuffed Tuesday morning in Uyo. War started at the wee hours at the state assembly house as the five members of the state assembly sacked recently converged and almost perfected plot to impeach Gov Emmanuel
The entire assemble premises was on fire at the time of writing this story as the house members and the 5 sacked lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress engage in battle at the assembly premises. There was serious gunfire by security men as the youths try to chase Nse Ntuen, the factional Speaker and other four out of the chambers and assembly premises.
It was gathered that Ntuen and others had arrived the chambers early before the time for plenary with plans to impeach Governor Udom Emmanuel. But the governor arrived the venue with members of his cabinet and security details, about 10am which helped the youths to over-power the five lawmakers out of the assembly premises.
