Keyamo: I never Ordered Demolition of Private Hangars at MMIA 2 Lagos

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate  of Nigeria, Friday, denied viral report that ports that he ordered the demolition of private hangars at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Two, MMIA 2, Lagos.

According to the report which went viral on Thursday, Keyamo was quoted as having issued an order that the Dominion and EAN hangers at the MMIA 2 in Lagos be brought down with immediate effect.

This, the report averred, was to allow a planned expansion of the airport.

But Keyamo, who visited the MMIA 2 on Thursday, August 31, 2023, roundly rubbished the story on his X handle, describing it as inaccurate.

“This is not correct,” the Minister wrote.

“No demolition was ordered. We have only told Nigerians the private hangars that are preventing Nigerians from using the new terminal and that we will engage the owners on their eventual relocation.”
