We never conducted any polls for PDP-Ballard Partners, American firm allegedly involved in Atiku polls reacts …Says: My Signature has been forged Ballard Partners, the American firm widely reported to have conducted a survey for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, portraying Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as losing Saturday’s vote to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, has debunked the report.
A report purportedly written by Ballard Partners, dated February 05, 2019, and addressed to Dr. Bukola Saraki, Director General of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, went viral on social media on Wednesday.
The widely circulated report submitted that the result of the poll it conducted across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones showed that Buhari would win the election by 51% with Atiku scoring 49%.
But Brian Ballard, the company’s chief executive who purportedly signed the report, speedily debunked the said report on Wednesday, declaring that his signature was forged. He also disclosed that his organisation “has not conducted any survey research on behalf of the People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria.”
Ballard, who had previously been linked with facilitating last month’s flying visit of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to the United States, made the rebuttal via his twitter handle, @BallardFirm, at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb 13, 2019.
He tweeted:
“A letter allegedly sent by me on February 5, 2019 regarding the Nigerian presidential is fraudulent. My signature has been forged. Ballard Partners has not conducted any survey research on behalf of the People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria.
“The entire contents of the letter are false, and no individual employed by Ballard Partners has been involved in any of the actions cited in this phony letter.”
