US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday made a phone call to the Presidential Candidate of the PDP Alhaji Abubakar Atiku. Mr. Pompeo said the United States and the international communities expect a free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.
Atiku on his twitter page confirmed the call, ” Earlier today I received a call from US Secretary of State, @SecPompeo, who reaffirmed the international community’s commitment to free and fair elections in Nigeria. Wishing you all a peaceful elections, wherever you are. God bless Nigeria.
It is believed that Secretary Pompeo has earlier made a call to President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the world that he is committed to a free, fair and credible elections.
In a broadcast to Nigerians Thursday night the president urged all stakeholders to be peaceful and law abiding, promising a credible election.
