Cultists kill 2 Corps members in Bayelsa
Suspected cultists have shot dead two members of the National Youth Service Corps serving in Bayelsa State.
Three NYSC members were shot, Wednesday night, in the Swali community, and were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, the state capital, by men of the Azikoro division of the anti-robbery squad. One of them was confirmed dead on arrival, a second died while receiving treatment in the facility, while the third is still in critical but stable condition.
The victims’ ídentities have not been disclosed. It was also unclear if their families had been notified at the time of filing this report.
Similarly, there was no official statement by the Bayelsa Police Command at press time but an officer, who craved anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the tragic event, revealed that the victims were shot at the Primary School, Swali.
