Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has travelled out of Abuja to Rwanda. He, will be representing President Muhammadu Buhari at the 25th Anniversary of the Liberation of Rwanda.
Prof. Osinbajo would join other African leaders and Heads of State expected at the occasion, scheduled for Thursday, July 4, in Kigali, which would reflect on the end of the genocide in 1994.
The Vice President, who would be accompanied on the trip by senior government officials, leaves for Kigali this afternoon and is expected back in Abuja on Thursday.
A statement on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande said: “Prof Osinbajo will join other African leaders and Heads of State expected at the occasion, scheduled for Thursday, July 4, in Kigali, which will reflect on the end of the genocide in 1994.” |
