Finally, Buhari Sends Ministerial List to Senate

Al last, The Crest can report authoritatively that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has finally sent his list of ministerial nominees to the Senate, barely six months after winning the February 23 Presidential Election.

According to report, the President finall laid to the controversies and rumour over the list in the recent past.

The President is said to have sent a list of 42 nominees to the Senate Monday evening

With the 36 states of the Federation producing a nominee each and another six from the six geo-political zones of the country.

The list was sent to the senate on Monday evening via executive communication and is expected to be read on the floor of the senate on Tuesday.

The senate, which will be proceeding on a two-month recess on Thursday, is expected to screen the nominees.

Contrary to speculations, only about 12 ministers will be re-appointed from the former cabinet.

However, the Presidency denies knowledge of the ministerial list being forwarded to the Senate,  insisting that the onus falls on  the office of the Senate President to break the news if they have received the list.
