The Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has annulled the election of Hon. Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker representing Ede Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and ordered a rerun election in selected units within the federal constituency.
The Tribunal had in its ruling canceled results of the election in some units in Ede South, Ede North, Ejigbo and Egbedore as a result of over-voting.
Hon. Adejare Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had challenged the declaration of Hon. Salam (PDP) as the winner of the election.
