An apparently livid President Muhammadu Buhari poured invective on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Friday over what he called utter mutilation of the Nigerian economy for 16 years, saying ‘only God will punish PDP’.
Buhari who spoke at the State House, Abuja, when he received members of the 1,000 Support Group rained curses on the PDP and its leaders, saying that God must punish them.
The President claimed that they looted the country for 16 years and that he was on a mission to recover what he said they stole.
“Large scale abuse of trust, only God can give them punishment but those we can touch, we will get them prosecuted,” an irate Buhari said.
“We have said properties confiscated should be sold and the money put into the treasury and we will use.”
