NAF Bombs Boko Haram Commanders in Sambisa
Operation Lafiya Dole has reported a successful bombing of the dreaded Boko Haram’s hide-out in Sambisa forest, in Borno State.
The Nigerian Air Force on Friday bombed a meeting venue of the Boko Haram commanders at Ngoske on the fringes of the Sambisa forest.
The attack was executed by the Air Task Force after successive days of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions identified the locations as housing some Boko Haram leaders.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said in a release that two buildings were blown off in Ngoske by the aircraft, leading to “the neutralisation of several terrorists.”
He said: “The Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has obliterated a Boko Haram terrorists’ meeting venue and neutralised several of their fighters at Ngoske on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
“The attack was executed following successive ISR missions, which identified the locations as housing the Boko Haram leadership.
“The NAF, operating in concert with surface forces, will sustain its efforts to destroy all remnants of the terrorists in the North-East.”
