Eight days after Justice Abdul Dogo of the Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State, was kidnapped at Ibilo town in Edo State, gunmen struck again, Wednesday, and abducted another judge.
Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme of the Court of Appeal, Benin, Edo State, was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor road near Christ Chosen Church. Her police orderly was shot dead by the dare-devil criminals.
Joustice Nwosu-Iheme was stalked on her way to Abuja.
Sources said the kidnappers operated in a Voltron car and carried out the operation with the speed of lightning.
The witnesses said the criminals overtook the judge’s car, opened fire and killed the police orderly.
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dan Mallam Mohammed confirmed the incident.
“The Judge was kidnapped on Wednesday but security measures are in place to rescue her,” he said, promising that his command will “bring the kidnappers to book by the power of the Almighty God.”
