2019 Bar Exams: History as 147 Law School Students Bag First Class
The Nigerian Law School (NLS) has released the results of the August 2019 Bar finals examination with a high figure of 147 students emerging with First Class while a total 894 students failed.
According to snippets of information available as at press time, a total of five thousand, six hundred and eighty-nine, (5,689) students sat for the Bar finals. Of the figure, 85% came out in flying colours.
Specifically, 147 students bagged first-class degree representing 2.58%; 741 bagged second class upper degree representing 13.03%; 2,246 students got second class lower degree representing 39.5; 1,291 had pass grade (22,7) while 319 students had conditional pass representing 5.61%.
The result also shows that 41 students were absent while 10 results were withheld.
By the 2019 results, the school recorded the highest figure of first-class ever.
The Council of Legal Education had earlier reviewed the grading system of the Nigerian Law School.
