A Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting at Kubwa, a satelite town of Abuja, on Friday, upheld its earlier judgement that nullified the election of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young People’s Party [YPP]. Senator Ubah is the lawmaker representing Anambra South district in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The court insisted that Senator Ubah used a forged National Examination Council [NECO], certificate to contest the senatorial election that held in Anambra South senatorial district on February 23, 2019.
The court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] to withdraw the Certificate of Return it issued to Ubah and issue a fresh one to Dr. Obinna Uzoh of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], who came 2nd at the election
