Micro-blogging site, Twitter, has reacted to Friday’s suspension of its operations in Nigeria by the Federal Government, saying the decision was “deeply concerning”.
The response, according to The Cable, was conveyed in an email by Twitter’s Senior Policy Communications Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Sarah Hart.
“The announcement made by the Nigerian Government that they have suspended Twitter’s operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning,” Hart reportedly said.
“We’re investigating and will provide updates when we know more.”
