There are strong indications from Kaduna that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, on Tuesday morning resigned his position as the Speaker.
Sources from the Assembly said, Hon. Shagali tendered his resignation before the house during the plenary session.
The 37-year old-Speaker from the ruling APC, has been a member of the Assembly since 2011 and was elected Speaker of the House in the year 2015.
Shagali’s re-election did not, however, come as a surprise as the leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC in the state, Governor Nasir El-Rufai had since made case for his return as Speaker of the 6th Assembly.
