Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was, on Monday, declared winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election in Edo State.
By the mandate given to the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor, he will now fly the flag of the APC in the September 19, 2020 governorship election in the state.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Edo State APC Primary Election Committee, declared Ize-Iyamu winner of the vote after the collation of results from returning officers in the 18 local government areas of the state.
Ize-Iyamu won 27,838 votes, while his closest rival, Dr Pius Odubu scored 3,776. The closest to the duo was Mr Osaro Obaze, who polled 2,751 votes.
