After days of holding back on his status, Mr. Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, finally confirmed, on Sunday, that he tested positive to the coronavirus, and would be travelling to Lagos for treatment any moment from now.
Channels Television reported this in his flagship bulletin, NEWS AT 10, Sunday night, giving no details.
The Chief of Staff’s positive status had dominated headlines in the past one week. And while other top members of the political elite, including two state governors, have declared their status, Kyari held back, throwing the subject for all manner of speculations.
However, his confirmation, on Sunday, should now put all speculations to rest.
