COVID-19: Nigeria Cases Hit 139
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Tuesday evening, announced that four new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the national prevalence to 131.
This was revealed in a tweet on the agency’s handle. The tweet read,
“Four new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 3 in the FCT and 1 in Lagos As at 08:00 pm 31st March there are 139 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths”
The new cases come barely 24 hours after President Buhari ordered a lockdown in Lagos, Ogun State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with the exception of medical services, journalists and the sale of foodstuff items.
