Suspended Ayu Took PDP from Sodom to Gomorrah, Says Shehu Sani
Former Nigerian lawmaker and social critic, Senator Shehu Sani, has disclosed that the ousted, National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, took the party from the “city of Sodom” to “desert of Gomorrah.”
Ayu was on Tuesday suspended from the party.
He had earlier been suspended by Igyorov Ward Executive Committee of the PDP in the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State on Sunday.
However, the Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly on Wednesday in a post on his verified Twitter handle noted that nothing much could have changed, if Ayu had stepped down before the general elections.
He noted that those opposed to him were also struggling to survive and at the end couldn’t help themselves much.
“Ayu met the party in the City of Sodom and tried his possible best and led it to the desert of Gomorrah.
“The fact is that even if Ayu had stepped down before the election, nothing much could have changed; because those opposed to him were also struggling to survive and at the end couldn’t help themselves much,” he tweeted.
