Elizabeth Warren Endorses Joe Biden For US President
Sen. Elizabeth Warren officially endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday. The former 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate revealed this in a tweet on her Twitter handle, with a video message to accompany.
She pointed out the empathy Biden had shown the American people who have been struggling with the coronavirus pandemic.
“Empathy matters. And, in this moment of crisis, it’s more important than ever that the next president restores Americans’ faith in good, effective government,” Warren said.
The former law professor went on to emphasise the role of Donald Trump in this pandemic, insinuating his insensitivity to the American People.
“Joe Biden has spent nearly his entire life in public service. He knows that a government run with integrity, competence, and heart will save lives and save livelihoods. And we can’t afford to let Donald Trump continue to endanger the lives and livelihoods of every American.”
“That’s why I’m proud to endorse Joe Biden as president of the United States,” she added.
An elated Biden took to Twitter to thank her for the support, stating her support would make it easier to beat Donald Trump at the forthcoming polls.
“We are in a battle for the soul of this nation and I’m proud to have the fiercest of fighters, Senator @ewarren, on my side. With her help, we’re going to beat Donald Trump and create a government that works for everyone — not just the wealthy and well connected. Let’s do this.”
