Two Persons Tested Positive In Our Tracing – Ogun State
No fewer than 110 contacts related to the COVID-19 have been discharged in Ogun State. This is according to the State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker.
Coker revealed this in a press conference to give updates on the status of coronavirus in the state.
In her update, she mentioned that two of the 210 contacts traced tested positive for coronavirus.
She said, “Since the announcement of the index case in Nigeria, Ogun state has since recorded nine infections in total.
“In the last 24 hours, we have discharged three and in total, we have discharged six patients. We still have three active cases receiving treatment and care in our facility.
“In addition, we have traced 210 individuals. Of this 210, we have discharged 110. Of the 110 who had finished their monitoring, two of them actually tested positive.”
Coker also said the state would set up another molecular laboratory next week which further see the testing for5 the virus increase to 1,000 per day. This lab according to the commissioner would set up across the border of Lagos State.
“We would encourage people to come forward in the next week to get tested especially during this lockdown.
