The dreaded COVID-19 pandemic has claimed more deaths in Lagos, according to the state commissioner of health.
The commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi, announced this in a Tweet on Tuesday.
He stated that although the state had no fresh cases as at 20th of April, there were related deaths from coronavirus.
According to him, one of the deceased was a 45- year-old Nigerian man who returned from India in January.
He Tweeted: “#COVID19Lagos Update
“No new case of #COVID19 was confirmed in Lagos on 20th April, 2020.
“However, #COVID19 related deaths were recorded in Lagos. One of the deceased was a 45 years old Nigerian male who returned from India in January, 2020.”
So far, Lagos state has 379 confirmed cases, 98 has been discharged, 260 active cases and 16 deaths
