The Lagos State Government says the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, will be questioned on the events at the Lekki Toll Gate – the venue for the planned #OccupyLekkiTollGate protests on February 13.
The State Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, said this when he made an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
During the protest, Popular comedian Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, along with some others were arrested by the police.
Although the protesters have been released, Nigerians still condemned the arrest of peaceful protesters citing it as a violation of the fundamental human right.
