As the debate on the propriety or otherwise of the partial easing of the lockdown on Lagos and Ogun States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, FCT continues, President Muhammadu Buhari is set to deliver his third address to the nation since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Nigeria.
In an interview with Channels Television, Sunday night, Aliyu Sani, national coordinator of the presidential task force on COVID-19, disclosed that Presient Buhari will address the nation in a televised broadcaston on Monday, May 18, 2020,
The broadcast comes as the first phase of the gradual easing of the lockdown comes to an end.
During the broadcast, Buhari will announce to Nigerians whether or not the country would go ahead with the second phase of the easing of the lockdown.
