COVID-19: Lagos Discharges 17 More Patients

Lagos State has announced that it has discharged 17 more patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus at various isolation centres across the state.

The state’s Ministry of Health revealed this via its Twitter handle on Wednesday.

It said that the patients were discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.

The health ministry also made it known that the discharged comprised 11 males and 6 females.

It said, “17 COVID-19 Lagos patients: six females and 11 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Yaba, Gbagada and LUTH Isolation facilities to reunite with the society

“The patients – seven from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, six from LUTH and four from Gbagada Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“This brings to 649, the number of discharged cases in Lagos.”
