The Deputy Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Siddi Buba, has tested positive for coronavirus.
He made this revelation to the state-owned media corporation.
Buba, representing Kwami west was installed as Deputy speaker after Haruna Adamu was impeached in 2019.
Prior to Buba’s declaration of his COVID-19 positive status, five other lawmakers had tested positive, including the Speaker.
“Coronavirus is real and every laid down protocol should be respected,” he said, adding that “physical distancing, use of sanitiser, and face masks are sure means of escaping the pandemic”.
