Tunji Bolaji, the Special Assistant Media to the former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has debunked rumours of the death of the former lawmaker.
The news went viral Thursday evening about the demise of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Acting National Chairman. But Bolaji swiftly reacted on the Facebook saying Nigerians should discountenance the rumours.
“Kindly disregard all the rumours,” Bolaji wrote on Facebook. Just rumours. In all, we remain prayerful.”
A top member of the APC also told The Crest that Ajimobi is alive but added that he’s still critically ill.
He said: “Ajimobi is alive but still critically ill. He’s off the ventilator but he has not come around.”
Senator Ajimobi was moved to the highbrow First Cardiology hospital in Lagos after he was diagnosed of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic about 18 days ago after he allegedly slipped into unconsciousness on June 8.
But he was reported to have regained consciousness on Wednesday after being in coma for weeks.
