Pope Francis’ Condition Critical, Suffers Breathing Difficulties, Gets Oxygen, Blood Transfusion


Pope Francis, Saturday evening, continued to be in critical condition after a full week in medical care.
A new medical bulletin released, on Saturday evening, by the Holy See Press Office, stated that Pope Francis had experienced “an asthma-like respiratory crisis of prolonged intensity” that required high-flow oxygen therapy.
According to a report in Catholic News Agency, CNA, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Vatican said that the Holy Father suffered a respiratory crisis and required a blood transfusion.
The report revealed further that in the afternoon, religious sisters, clergy, and faithful had gathered outside the Gemelli Hospital in Rome to pray for the Catholic Pontiff.
