COVID-19 Rocks Imo Assembly as 13 More Lawmakers Test Positive
The entire Imo State House of Assembly seems to have been ravaged by the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic as 13 more lawmakers were confirmed to have tested positive for the virus.
Chinedu Iwuala, spokesman for the State Task Force on COVID-19, confirmed on Tuesday that the infected lawmakers in the state who are COVID-19 positive has jumped to 14.
The infected lawmakers have gone into self-isolation and the State Assembly Complex in Owerri has remained shut since the first lawmaker was diagnosed with the virus.
