Nigeria Records 649 New Cases As Total Passes 22,000
Nigeria, on Wednesday, announced what will rank as one of the highest daily cases of coronavirus in the country, as 649 new cases were recorded.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.
The tweet revealed that Lagos, which is the eoicentre of the virus in trhe country recorded 250 new cases, with Oyo closely following up with 100 new cases. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 22,020.
According to NCDC, a total of 7, 613 patients have been healed and released back to the society after they had tested negative twice to the virus, while 542 deaths have been recorded.
