Sanwo-Olu’s Wife Reveals Hubby’s Real Names As She Serenades Him at 55
Anniversary
Many people know the Governor of Lagos State simply as Babajide Sanwo-Olu. A few know the man by other names by which when he is called, would catapault him to a realm of pleasure only he can describe.
The First Lady of Lagos, Dr. Ibijoke Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor’s wife, switched the magical names, Thursday, to kick start another glorious day for her husband, even his 55th birthday.
“To my caring, loving and handsome friend and husband-Babajide Olusola Aduragbemi, I appreciate the grace of God in your life on this special day as you attain the landmark age of 55,” Joke, as the Lagos First Lady is fondly called by her husband, took to her Twitter handle, @jokesanwoolu, to celebrate the man she called the crown of head head(Olowo Ori Mi).
Just as he wanted, there was no popping of Champagne, Thursday, as Governor Babatunde Sanwo-Olu marked his 55th year on earth. He began the day with a quiet time with God and family family members before hitting the road for work.
Though the Governor, a devout Christian, devoted the day to God, he was as busy as ever at his desk, working himself to the bones, trying to make Lagos better.
In the spirit of the times, the hard-working governor had, on Wednesday, through Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, his Commissioner for Information, banned any elaborate celebration of his 55th birthday, advising friends and associates against placing congratulatory adverts in the media.
Rather, “He advised his well-wishers to instead, put smiles on the faces of people around them,” Omotoso wrote on the Twitter Handle of the Lagos State Government, @followlasg.
But with a thankful heart, the governor took to Twitter to appreciate God for his mercies on his beat, as well as reflecting briefly on the campaign against COVID-19 for which Lagos State holds the unenviable title of being the epicentre.
In the birthday tweet, titled: 55 Years of life lessons, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared:
“I am in a reflective mood today as I mark my birthday during these times even as governance takes priority.
“We have been through a lot as a people these past months and I am thankful for life, family, Lagos and the hope of a better future for us all.”
His tweet opened a floodgate to other tweets from eminent Nigerians who eulogised him on end.
