Following the uncertainties surrounding the extension of the lockdown, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has said President Mohammadu Buhari would address the nation today at 7pm to clear doubts that are rising.
The statement issued on Monday read, “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”
Recall that the President issued an order for a lockdown in Ogun State, Lagos State and Abuja for 14 days on March 31. The time frame elapsed today and Nigerians would be seeking to know whether the lockdown would be extended or other measures would be considered.
