PDP S/West Zonal Congress: Eddy Olafeso Carpets Arapaja Over Thugs Invasion Allegation

A candidate for position of National Vice Chairman (Southwest) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Eddy Olafeso has carpeted his opponent Taofeek Arapaja, for accusing him of sponsoring thugs who invaded the election venue in Osogbo on Sunday.

Arapaja in a statement said that some of the thugs arrested have confessed their link with a member of the Eddy Olafeso faction, who is an Oyo State indigene.

But Olafeso waves the allegation with the back of his hand describing it as balderdash and ranting of a drowning man holding unto a spider’s web.

Olafeso indicated the thugs were from Oyo State, suggesting they were sponsored by the Arapaja faction.

“Oyo is one of the key states here today. I don’t know how he was able to identify who was from Oyo State.”

“We are confident of winning irrespective of any intimidation because we have worked tirelessly for the election. We traversed the length and breadth of the Southwest and the support has been tremendous.”
