Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has assured the electorate in Ondo State that the All Progressives Congress, APC, standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the February 25 presidential election with a wide margin.
Akeredolu, who has intensified his grassroots campaign for Tinubu, urged the people to vote forsomebody who is capable and competent to the fix the country.
He spoke at the Ondo Central Senatorial rally held in Ondo town. The governor said the huge crowd should translate to votes.
Akeredolu, who also canvassed for votes for other parliamentary candidates of the APC presented party flags to the candidates of the party.
No fewer than 350 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the APC at the rally.
Ondo State APC Chairman Ade Adetimehin, an engineer, who received the defectors, said party leaders would soon begin ward-to-ward, unit-to-unit, house-to-house and door-to-door campaigns to record landslide victory.
He urged residents to arm themselves with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to exercise their franchise during the election.
The rally was attended by Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; and members of the State Executive Council, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu.
