Gov Fayemi Swears in Eight New Commissioners in Cabinet Reshuffle
The Governor of Ekiti State Dr Kayode Fayemi has sworn in eight new commissioners in a shake up of his cabinet members, warning members of the state executive council to focus on the goal of his administration.
Fayemi explained while swearing in the eight newly appointed commissioners and seven Special Advisers, that the cabinet reshuffle was necessary after a midterm appraisal became pertinent.
“We have recently carried out a midterm assessment of this administration and made a few changes in line with our performance and emerging reality towards refining our government agenda and strengthen our team,” Fayemi noted.
“This account for the appointment of new people into various positions.”
The Governor urged the new appointees to shun illicit engagements and focus on the goal of the team.
