Tributes have continued to pour for gospel music superstar, Sammie Okposo, as the Lagos State Governor of Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria, GOMAN, Evangelist Philip Olayiwola Pholat, mourns the sudden demise of the icon.
Okposo slumped and died in the early hours of Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 51.
In a release issued in Lagos, Evangelist Olayiwola Pholat said: “This is a huge loss to the music industry and Nigeria as a whole. Sammie Okpso’s sudden demise is a huge blow that only God can relieve. May God comfort his family, the family of gospel singers in Nigeria, as well as the nation as a whole. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
The Lagos State GOMAN Governor said “burial arrangements will be made available as soon as they are released by the family.”
