Egbemode Scores Oyetola High, Says the Gov is a Great Product to Market
...As Osun SSG Praises Her for Her Uncommon Media Touch
Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, has been described as a media savvy leader who neither looks for trouble nor courts controversy.
The State Commissioner Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs.Funke Egbemode made this assertion in Osogbo, the state capital, while receiving the executives of the Lagos Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NU, led by its Chairman, Dr.Qasim Akinreti.
Egbemode, however, observed that behind Governor Oyetola’s gentle disposition to life is an uncommon energy to work long hours without losing his temperament. “You only see him upset when you don’t meet your target,” the Commissioner disclosed.
The Governor, Egbemode further posited, was adept at doing things differently and was eager to showcase Osun to the rest of the world with a view to bringing in investments into the state’s mining, agriculture, and tourism sectors.
“Osun is too rich to be poor,” Egbemode enthused, “and we explore just 30% of our natural resources in the state. (Soon), we would become a regional commercial hub and the governor is determined to make it happen.”
On his part, the Lagos NUJ boss, praised Mrs. Egbemode for her creativity and rich innovation which she has brought to bear on her job since she assumed office.
Akinreti also lauded the landmark achievements of Egbemode as the immediate past President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, NGE, a record, he said, “is still unbeatable.”
In a similar development, the Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, praised Mrs. Egbemode for her efforts at projecting the state in good light before its various publics through professional media exposure since her appointment as Commissioner of Information and Civic Orientation.
Prince Oyebamiji, who also received Akinreti and his entourage in his office, pleaded for more media support for Governor Oyetola and his government who, he said, was working his fingers to the bones to fulfill his electoral promises to the people of Osun.
