2019 Election: Gen Bajowa Charges Ondo APC to Deliver State for Buhari
The Chairman of Legacy Forum, a unit of the Buhari support organization, Gen Olu Bajowa (Rtd) has held a meeting with All Progressives congress( APC) stakeholders across the 13 wards of Okitipupa Local Government urging them to deliver the state for Buhari on February 16.
The meeting was in furtherance of General Bajowa’s bid to ensure massive grass roots vote are garnered for President Muhammadu Buhari who is seeking a second term in office in the February 16th , 2019 election.
Legacy Forum has been in the forefront of the campaign for the sustainability of good governance which the body maintains that the Muhammadu Buhari government stands for. On the strength of this conviction, the Gen Bajowa -led forum has been meeting and engaging in endorsement rally to sensitise the public about the need for Nigerians to support the Buhari presidency so that “the next level” will become achievable for all Nigerians.
While deliberating on the need to work cohesively as the election approaches, Gen. Bajowa , who was flanked by his wife, Princess Bar. Oluyemi Bajowa, noted that President Buhari has a lot of things working in his favour among which are his integrity and accountability, security, his good governance and anti corruption posture and his infrastructure drive which is equal to none.
Gen Bajowa appealed to all Ikale people both in Irele and Okitipupa Local government to deliver their individual vote for Buhari/Osinbajo as the duo are better positioned to take the country out of the woods.
Bajowa and his wife, Princess Yemi Bajowa charged the people to shun any act of violence before, during and after the election , stressing that we should not see politics as a do or die affair.
“My advice is that the people should not sell their votes as vote buying and selling amount to trading off peoples’ future and that of their children. On the day of the election the electorate should vote and not fight and voters should guard their votes jealously ,” Gen Bajowa said. The retired army chief also maintained that the people should not vote amiss as their vote should be for Buhari/Osinbajo .
APC chairman for Okitipupa local government, Mr. Bode Ikulala thanked the Legacy Forum and the chairman Gen Bajowa for associating with the party at this auspicious time, adding that the party at the local government, state level and the national level will not forget the depth of support given by Gen Bajowa. Ikulala reassured the Jagunmomolu of Ikale land that the party is very popular in the grassroots and as far as Ikale land is concerned they will go with the progressives than associating with those who had stolen the country blind in the time past.
The meeting had in attendance all APC ward chairmen and ward executives in the 13 wards making up Okitipupa Local Government, led by their chairman, Bode Ikulala.
Among the stakeholders at the event were Elder Sunday Oyepitan, Education secretary, Okitipupa local government, Chief Ola Iwaeni and a host of others.
