Sanwo-Olu Boosts Ikales in Lagos with Palliatives
The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has given the Ikale people in Lagos two trucks of assorted food items as palliative to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the wellbeing of the people.
The governor who paid glowing tribute to the Ikales last Monday at the Governor Akeredolu campaign in Okitipupa sent the items to the Chairman of the Ikale Heritage Development Association, Otunba Sola Olatunji during the weekend.
Addressing members of the Heritage, Olatunji said that the governor has been so compassionate about issues that concern the Ikale people adding that the governor also sent the first tranche of palliatives to the Heritage in May.
“We have never had this interesting recognition by any government in Lagos State in the past,” Olatunji said. “The governor has proved that he is concerned about the welfare of the people in Lagos. He has been supportive ever since we informed him of our desire as a people to partner with him.
“He has kept every promise he made to us and we are grateful. We will not relent in our unwavering support for his government. He has won the hearts of Lagos State people and we are sure that his second term is guaranteed.”
