#EndSARS: New Tactical Team Should Not Be ‘Old Wine in New Bottle’, Pastor Adeboye Tells FG

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has expressed his support for the ongoing protests embarked upon by youths against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

The protest which has been going on for days is to put an end to police brutality which the squad represents.

Giving his support to the protesters, Adeboye, said on his Twitter handle:

“Our daughters will not be able to prophesy and young men will not see visions if we don’t keep them alive.

“I support the youths in this peaceful protest as they “speak up” to #EndPoliceBrutality

“#EndSARS

“#ENDSWAT.”

It would be recalled down following the protests, SARS has been proscribed and a new organ –SWAT- established.

The police also pledged to carry out reforms.
