No fewer than 35 medical doctors in Kwara State have so far tested positive for COVID-19 pandemic, it was gathered on Monday.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Kolade Solagberu in Ilorin, during the annual general meeting (AGM) of the association.
Solagberu, however, said the association had not recorded any death casualty among its members.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor and Chairman of Council of Benue State University (BSU) Prof. Zacharys Gundu has also tested positive for COVID-19.
This is coming barely a week after the BSU Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Godwin Achinge, died of the virus.
In a statement in Makurdi, Gundu stated that his sample sent to Abuja for testing returned positive, and that he is an isolation centre receiving treatment.
