Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives hopeful in the forthcoming party primaries in Ondo State, Sodiq Obanoyen has appealed to the electorate to vote only politicians who have genuine interest of the people.
Obanoyen embarked on Wards tour,in Owo Local Government area of Ondo State during the week where he intimated the Party stakeholders and supporters with his manifesto.
Obanoyen expressed worries over the contributions of the politicians that had represented the constituency in the past saying they are at best bench warmers at the National Assembly. he promised to make robust contribution to issues and place the interest of the constituency on the front burner always.
The PDP bigwig was accompanied by party stalwarts from the various wards as the people promised to support him based on the good work he has done for the local government and his humility which has endeared him to the people of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
“The tour was a huge success as it was free from all hitches,” Obanoyen told The Crest. “The people, especially the delegates and the Executive Committee members especially with votes during the primary election were extremely glad to receive me with enthusiasm that pointed to my acceptability.
“The chairmen of the seven wards (Mr Tunde, Alhaji Kareem, Owasanoye (Bafeco) Folahanmi , Orobato ,Alhaji Owalaye, and Alhaji Mumuni Ojomo) expressed their joy that a quality representation would be guaranteed now as aspirant. They appreciated our entourage and therefore pledged their support for my aspiration and they all prayed for me.
While addressing the stakeholders and reacting to questions, the frontline aspirant for the coveted seat of House of Representatives, Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, outlined his visions and missions if given the mandate. He appreciated the people especially the Ward Chairmen and their Executive Committees as well as the delegates for their show of love and for the undivided support given so far for his aspiration across the wards. He therefore assured them especially the youths, womenfolks and the elders of quality representation and good service delivery when he gets to the the Green Chamber.
He vehemently demonstrated that he was mentally, materially and spiritually prepared to face opposition.
