Dr. Junaid Mohammed, a Second Republic Senator representing Kano, and ardent critic of the Muhammadu Buhari Administration, has died.
The Russian-trained neurologist died, Thursday night, at the age of 73.
His son, Suleiman Mohammed, confirmed the politician’s demise, revealing that his dad passed Thursday night after a yet-to-be-revealed illness that spanned three days.
Suleiman said the family will announce his father’s burial later.
Although the news of Mohammed’s death broke late in the night, Nigerians had started trooping to his house on 60, Lamido Crescent, Kano, to pay their condolences.
Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Minister of Investment and Trade, was one of the early callers.
