All hell was let loose on Friday at the Surulere Local Government headquarters in Lagos as angry councilors impeached the chairman, Hon Tajudeen Ajide.
The Legislative Arm had accused the impeached chairman of sundry issues including misappropriation of funds, high handedness and had to work late on Friday to perfect the impeachment.
The councilors subsequently sealed up the chairman’s office and forcefully evicted him but this was vehemently resisted by the chairman’s loyal staff and the council boss himself who fought like the trojan, leading to mayhem.
