The Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission ,INEC has adjourned its sitting at the collation centre to resume by 3 a.m. Wednesday. Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairman announced this after the conclusion of the collation and announcement of the results from the 36 states and the FCT.
Yakubu said the essence of the break is to properly collate the result and also to adjust some of the problems that came up.
Yakubu had assured Nigerians that the Commission would announce the president-elect last night.
