The surging crowd at the campaign rally
The governorship candidate of the Accord Party, Ikedi Ohakim, formally launched his campaign on Monday, 21 January in Owerri, the Imo state capital. The occasion was also the official handover of the Accord Party gubernatorial flag to Dr Ohakim by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, led by her National chairman, Malam Muhammad Nalado. Other candidates of the party for various elective positions were at the Kanu Sports centre in solidarity to their governorship flag bearer. Present also were the Deputy Governorship Candidate of Accord Party, Dr Mrs Ann Dozie and former Imo first lady, Bar Mrs Chioma Ohakim, Dr Osmond Ukanacho, Captain David Mbamara, and host of other Imo sons and daughters who have keyed into the fix Imo agenda of Dr Ohakim.
