Niger Students Abduction: Buhari Tasks Security Agencies To Secure Immediate Release
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, charged the nation’s security and intelligence agencies to expedite efforts towards the recovery of the 200 children kidnapped from an Islamic school in Niger State.
A release by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said Buhari gave the charge while being briefed on the latest school abduction.
The President, Shehu said, condemned the abduction, describing it as unfortunate. He urged all the agencies involved in the rescue operation to do their utmost in securing their immediate release.
He also directed that the concerned government agencies to extend possible support to the families of the kidnapped children.
